We will be live this morning from the Dublin Headquarters of facebook for a 20×20 Campaign debate on whether Irish Sportswomen can or can’t get equal recognition, gain mass visibility and become national heroes in the same way as our sportsmen.
Among those contributing will be Sarah Keane from Swim Ireland and the Olympic Federation of Ireland, former Head of Sport at RTÉ Ryle Nugent and CEO of the Federation of Irish Sport, Mary O’Connor.
Journalist and sometime controversialist Ean McKenna will add some spice to the conversation which will be moderated by Sinéad O’Carroll, editor of the Journal.
The event will begin at 0900 and run through to 1030.
Subject to connectivity we will be sharing content from the event on social media @SportforBusines on Twitter and Instagram.
We will gather some of the best commentary and reaction on Sport for Business as part of tomorrow’s Daily Digest.
All the places at next week’s Sport for Business Women in Sport Conference at the studios of RTÉ are now gone though we are looking to check on a number of potential returns and may have limited availability over the next day or two.
The line up of great speakers includes Kellie Harrington, Sarah Keane, Sinéad Heraty, Sean Brett, Joanne O’Riordan, Jessie Barr, Nora Stapleton and Sarah Colgan.
Sport for Business’ Women in Sport coverage is supported by our friends and partners at RTÉ, Liberty Insurance and Lidl.
