Allianz Ireland Group Head of Marketing Damien O’Neill and Blind Runner Sinead Kane will kick off our Sport for Business Partners Event at the National Sports Campus on the morning of Wednesday, April 26th.
They will look at why a multi national brand with global sponsorships should look at an individual competitor with a dream to run seven marathons in seven days on seven continents despite having only five per cent vision.
It is a compelling tale of how a brand with a sense of purpose can contribute in terms of a partnership with sport that is seen away from the brightest spotlights.
The day will also include discussions from other leading brands on how they look for innovation and impact in their partnerships and at how sport should be pitching itself to attract commercial support.
There will be evidence of this in action with an exciting pitch competition where sixteen sports and projects from within the Sport for Business community will tell how they would deliver for partners.
Already signed up to take part are the Dublin City Marathon, Paralympics Ireland, Horse Sport Ireland, the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, the Quest Adventure Series and more to be unveiled this week.
Interspersed across the morning will be insight from our partners on the day Livewire looking at areas including social capital and the context of sponsorship.
It promises to be a great opportunity to learn from the best, mix with your peers of today and engage with your partners of today and tomorrow.
