In a second major deal announced yesterday around the 2018 World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin, Pundit Arena has signed a partnership agreement with Allianz and Paralympics Ireland for the social amplification and broadcasting of the event
Pundit Arena will create a poolside studio and digital content hub as part of a social amplification activation where they will deliver unprecedented coverage and access to Ireland’s athletes throughout the Championships.
The tournament will also be broadcast live on Pundit Arena TV in addition to the live coverage announced yesterday by TG4 and through other social channels run by World Para swimming.
“Allianz is really excited to be partnering with Pundit Arena in the promotion of the World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships,” said Allianz Ireland CEO Sean McGrath.
“We have successfully collaborated over a number of years with Pundit Arena on the Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues and we look forward to partnering with them again on this significant first ever, international Para event in Ireland.”
Pundit Arena is a member of the Sport for Business community alongside Allianz, Paralympics Ireland and TG4 and has had a strong 2018 thus far, aligning itself with a number of high-profile brands and sporting bodies, and delivering premium content across a variety of formats.
“It’s a real honour and privilege to be working on the World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships,” said Co-Founder Ross O’Dwyer.
“We’re delighted to continue our close work with Allianz and look forward to working in tandem with Paralympics Ireland and the other partners in delivering social amplification of the championships before, during and post event.”
“We’re looking forward to delivering a successful campaign that will showcase the best of Ireland’s Paralympic swimming talent and I hope the Irish public come out to support Team Ireland,” added Co-founder Richard Barrett.
The Championships are backed by Sport Ireland, Swim Ireland and Fáilte Ireland and will bring a real international spotlight on Ireland and the facilities at the National Sports campus.
“I am very pleased that the partnership between Allianz and Pundit Arena will result in increased coverage of this historic sporting event,” said Paralympics Ireland CEO and Chairperson of the Local organising Committee Miriam Malone.
“Pundit Arena have gained a great reputation in their coverage of sport and their innovative approach to content production. Allianz are a massive supporter of Paralympic Sports in Ireland as is demonstrated through their sponsorship of Dublin 2018 and of Paralympics Ireland. This is a very natural partnership and we very much look forward to facilitating their production throughout the week of the championships.”
