Dublin footballer, Jonny Cooper alongside Kilkenny hurler, Joey Holden and Kilkenny Camogie player Grace Walsh have teamed up with Avonmore Protein Milk to launch their new premium protein milk, Avonmore Protein Gold.
A contribution from each litre of the drink sold across Ireland is redirected towards GAA initiatives to fund grass roots GAA and GPA player development programmes.
“We are thrilled to launch Avonmore Protein Gold with Jonny, Joey and Grace and to directly support the GAA, contributing towards a number of development programme initiatives,” said Stuart Scott, Marketing Manager for Glanbia.
“Avonmore are a valued partner of the GAA and GPA,” added John Horan, President of the GAA.
“I would like to thank them for their ongoing support of our players. Our players are great ambassadors for our games, they’re role models in society and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.”
“The players train and prepare to the highest possible standard so they can perform on the pitch. Avonmore Protein Milk benefits the players through the allocation of funding to player welfare initiatives.”
“The GPA are delighted with Glanbia’s ongoing support of inter-county players,” said Paul Flynn, CEO of the Gaelic Players Association.
“The nutritional demands on players are increasing year on year and it is widely accepted as a core component of preparation for high performance sport. To continue our partnership with Avonmore is fantastic and a very natural fit.”
