The station has this morning confirmed Bowe as the face of the station’s coverage which it will share with RTÉ Sport but which will be the only channel through which every minute of every game can be seen.
Bowe will be joined by Gordon D’Arcy, Peter Stringer and Jerry Flannery. While current Irish women’s international players Eimear Considine and Louise Galvin will also form part of the team.
Conor Morris and Liam Toland will be the main commentary team in Japan.
Ireland kicks off their campaign on September 22 against Scotland before games against the host nation Japan on September 28, Russia on October 3 and Samoa on October 12.
