Passers By outside Dublin’s CHQ Building yesterday will have done a double take at the Sean O’Casey bridge being turned into a replica tunnel for the launch of Cadbury’s partnership as Official Snack Partner of the English Premier League.
England and Liverpool football legend, Robbie Fowler joined Cadbury Premier League ambassadors and Irish football heroes, Niall Quinn, Shay Given and his former Liverpool teammate Jason McAteer, to officially launch the partnership here.
Cadbury have a number of manufacturing bases in Ireland and with the appeal of the Premier League among Irish fans it was always going to feature on the publicity tour ahead of the start of the new season on Friday night.
The 2017/18 season will be the first year of Cadbury’s three-year partnership and will involve a range of rights relating to player milestones – including the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Golden Glove Awards.
