Camogie Extends Search for New CEO

The Camogie Association has appointed Executive Search company Lincoln Recruitment to extend the search for a new CEO.

Louise Conlon has filled the role on an interim basis since Joan O’Flynn stepped down ahead of last year’s Liberty Insurance All Ireland Championship.

She is now back concentrating however on the role of Technical development and Participation Manager which she joined the Association in the role of this time last year.

Mary O’Toole has returned from Maternity leave and is back covering the Association’s Commercial and Marketing needs.

Paddy Boyd has been appointed as Interim CEO through the recruitment process having recently undertaken a similar role at Canoeing Ireland.

The permanent role is currently being advertised with a closing date for applications of January 25th.

The requirements are to manage the Association’s day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth functioning and efficient organisation of sporting and governance activities; to monitor, prioritise and lead the implementation of commitments set out in the Association’s National Development Plan; to ensure that all operations are carried out to recognised standards and that controls, systems and procedures are in place to assist regular evaluation; to work with Ard Comhairle to ensure that there are adequate financial and other resources to implement the Association’s plans and programmes; to support, develop and maintain a close working relationship with the President, Ard Comhairle and the Chairs of all National Committees; and to maintain and build on the existing relationships with sporting bodies including Sport Ireland, the GAA, and the LGFA as well as the large volunteer base within the sport.

The process is being undertaken by Shay Dalton at Lincoln who ran the process for the appointment of the Ard Stiúrthóir of the GAA this time last year.
