Circle K, the new brand for Topaz, is bringing back Cash for Clubs, the programme that provides clubs from all sports around the country with cash funding as part of a customer rewards initiative.
Over the past four years, Circle K has invested close to €500,000 in clubs, groups and initiatives right across the island of Ireland.
By swiping a Play Or Park loyalty card with every fuel purchase made at any Circle K or Topaz location, customers can collect and pledge their tokens to a club or group of their choice, using the PlayorPark app or through playorpark.ie.
Once their nominated club has hit 500 token collections, they will be automatically entered into a draw to win cash prizes.
This year’s competition will see all clubs that meet the 500 token threshold guaranteed to receive at least €500 for their efforts.
All qualifying clubs will be included in a grand prize draw with runner-up prizes of €5,000 on offer and a grand prize of €10,000 going to one lucky overall winner.
“At Circle K, we’re committed to going the extra mile for our customers in every way, be it through our award-winning service or best in class product range,” said Judy Glover, Market Director for the company.
“Cash for Clubs has been an important initiative for us over the past number of years as a means of giving back to our entire network of customers, right across the country.”
“This year will be no different as we look to bring our overall investment in communities through Cash for Clubs to in excess of €500,000 over the past four years.”
Bray Hockey Club won last year’s €10,000 main prize.
“Fundraising is not easy for clubs, particularly smaller clubs and so-called minority sports clubs in particular,” said Club Member Ruth McDonagh.
“Cash for Clubs is a simple and accessible way for clubs like ourselves to secure the kind of cash investment that makes a huge difference in the day-to-day upkeep and longer-term development of a club.”
Registration for Cash for Clubs 2018 is now open. Clubs and customers can register online via playorpark.ie or on the PlayorPark app.
The competition will go live from July 4th, and run for 6 weeks before prize winners will be announced.
