Connacht Rugby have announced five new jobs as part of an expansion its Commercial and Marketing team. Four of the new positions are being advertised immediately and applications will be sought for the other vacancy later in the year.
The new roles are at various levels of the Commercial and Marketing team from management to executive roles. This expansion follows on from the launch of Connacht Rugby’s new vision, Grassroots to Green Shirts last year.
“As part of our restructuring plans we are announcing five new jobs in the areas of marketing, communications and customer service,” said Brian Mahony Head of Commercial and Marketing at Connacht Rugby.
“We are advertising immediately for the roles of Marketing and Events Manager, Communications Executive, Customer Services Executive and Business Services Executive.”
“Later in the year we will seek applications for the position of Ticketing Manager. So it is exciting times for us and we are looking forward to getting top class candidates to fill these positions.”
“We are very proud to be making this announcement. We are a huge net contributor to the economy in the west of Ireland and already employ over eighty non-playing staff.”
“These new positions will further strengthen our team as we aim to deliver on the key elements of our Grassroots to Greenshirts strategy and ultimately to deliver facilities that match our ambition.”
