Castleknock GAA club was only formed in 1998, yet both their footballers and Hurlers have already risen to the senior championship.

Local hero, Ciaran Kilkenny, was in the very first academy group in 1998. That age group would go on to win the Division 1 All-Ireland Hurling Feile in 2007, beating Tony Kelly’s Ballyea in the final.

Amazingly, the club won their second All-Ireland Feile last year, as their footballers claimed the 2016 title in Kerry.

Since its foundation this section of Dublin 15 has doubled in population. The club has become incredibly central to the entire community.
