Daily Video – All Ireland Company Games 2019

One of our ambitions over recent years was to create an All Ireland Company Games which would allow workforces to come together in friendly competition, building bonds that would last.

Workplace wellbeing and team bonding are an important element in every company, just as they are in every team.

The dynamics of working together with common purpose are one of the closest links there is between sport and business so it has always been a natural area for us to seek opportunities.

In September 2019 that ambition came to life with the staging of the inaugural All Ireland Company games at the Sport Ireland Campus.

Working in partnership with the Campus team allowed us to build a compelling day of sport and entertainment in one of the finest sporting venues not only in Ireland but anywhere across Europe.

Allowing the marketing, accounts, operations and other departments come together and play on the same pitches where Ireland teams train, run on the same track that hosts our finest Olympic athletes and experience the thrill of competiton was a real winner.

Here is what emerged.

Docusign emerged as the winners on the day with a dramtic late surge in the 8×100 metre relay. Aviva were just pipped into second place and Sports Direct who had delivered a strong performance throughout the day coming in third.

Having proved the concept was an attractive one, and experienced the benefit that those who took part in it enjoyed, we are certain now that this is an event with a long term future.

The planning has already begun for the 2020 event. A year in which the Euro’s and the Olympic and Paralympic Games will put sport front and centre stage like never before.

If you would like to be kept informed as those plans develop over the coming weeks, email us today and lay down a marker for what could be one of the most enjoyable things you will do together as a company all year.
