Daily Video – Dreams Coming True

The Republic of Ireland emerged from Sunday night’s World Cup Qualifiers still four points clear of Wales and Austria and one step closer to qualification for Russia after a late equaliser at the Aviva Stadium.

Before the game seven year old Cathal Byrne from Wicklow had his night made when accompanying his hero, Ireland goalkeeper Darren Randolph out onto the pitch.

Budding goalkeeper Cathal lives with a co-ordination disorder known as dyspraxia but that doesn’t deter him from getting in between the posts. The football mad youngster’s dream is to walk out alongside his favourite player Darren Randolph as Irish mascot.

Three captured his story and how he got to hear about his call up as a mascot in this piece of video content.
