The Grand Slam Tennis season swings into action in Australia and Adidas has launched a new campaign which has an imaginative twist for social good.

They are taking some of the eight million tonnes of plastic weight that goes into our oceans each year and transforming it ‘from threat into thread’ by creating a new range of sportswear using the plastic in the process.

Of course it will only be the tiniest fraction of mataerial that is recycled but in terms of raising awareness of the issue in a manner which will connect with people it’s a pretty impressive statement.
