Daily Video – The Joy of Ciara Mageean

Sometimes it’s as much about the performance after a great event as it it is ‘between the lines’ on competition.
For some, in a world where winning is the only thing that catches the eye, Ciara Mageean’s tenth place finish in Saturday night’s World Championship 1,500 metres was just a footnote on another big weekend of sport.
For others though the impartnace of a first world final since sonia O’Sullivan in 1997 and achieveing a personal best time in that white hot cauldron was something a bit out of the ordinary.
For everyone though the interview she gave after the race with David Gillick was an expression of the joy that comes from having achieved something special.
It’s a pleasure to bring it to your attention one more time in case you missed it first time around.
