Diving Off A Cliff

This is less about sport than art, less about a can of drink than about a lifestyle and boy oh boy does it work on all fronts.

The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series gets under way at Inis Mór this Saturday.  It will be broadcast live to an audience around the world of tens of millions through Red Bull TV and the images that Inpho Photography capture from the spectacular setting will be as memorable as this.

We had the pleasure of having Red Bull Ireland Head of Communications Colm Ó Riagáin join us at our Unleashing Content event last week and share the story of how and why Red Bull chose to get into the business of creating their own events.

It was a fascinating story of ambition, execution and getting there in the end, not dissimilar to what cliff divers like Blake Aldridge pictured above do for their living and our entertainment.

This event will be a joy to watch and deliver a picture of Ireland to an audience that may never buy an Aran sweater but can fall in love with what Ireland is about through this wonderful medium of sport in a form that never previously existed.

We will be catching up with the team at Inpho Photography during the summer to talk about their work embedded on the Lions Tour and at events just  like this.
