The first ever All Ireland Company Games took place at the Sport Ireland Campus with Docusign emerging as the victors following a dramatic finale edging out Aviva and Sports Direct.
The enthusiasm of the teams taking part will be evident in a video capturing the day which we will reveal on Sport for Business later in the week.
This is a new idea brought to life by a collaboration between Sport for Business and the Sport Ireland Campus and planning has already begun for the tournament to take place in 2020.
Teams of ten men and ten women took part in a variety of sports from Tug o’ War and Tag Rugby to a Gymnastics based obstacle course, athletics, basketball, badminton and seven a side soccer.
All of the events took place on the same facilities at the Sport Ireland National Inddor Arena that are used by the stars of Ireland’s international team and Olympians.
The competition came down to a dramatic 8×100 metre relay on the track with Docusign overhauling Aviva in the closing strides to secure their title.
The finale was overseen by double Irish Olympian Dave Matthews and the whole team at the Sport Ireland Campus put on a show for those who took part to remember forever.
Every one of them expressed an enthusiasm to come back again in 2020 and we will open up for initial registration in the coming weeks.
In the meantime if you would like to be kept in touch with developments and express your own organisations interest in taking part, email us today quoting All Ireland Company Games 2020.
