Ballygowan and Energise Sport, part of Britvic Ireland, have renewed their partnership with Dublin GAA to remain as the official hydration partners of Dublin GAA in a new three-year deal.
The partnership will continue to see Ballygowan and Energise Sport support Dublin hurling and football teams across all age groups including U21 and senior.
They came on board in a reported six-figure deal in 2015, replacing Coca-Cola’s Deep RiverRock.
The brand has an estimated €25 Million of sales value in Ireland, making it the largest water brand.
Dublin GAA stars and management were on hand at the announcement to discuss Dublin’s prospects for the 2018 season ahead of the remaining fixtures of the Allianz National leagues. New Dublin hurling manager Pat Gilroy, Dublin GAA CEO, John Costello and Leonie Doyle, Marketing Director, Britvic Ireland were also in attendance.
“Dublin County Board is delighted to renew our partnership with Britvic Ireland’s Ballygowan and Energise Sport,” said Tomás Quinn, Commercial & Marketing Manager with Dublin GAA.
“Keeping players refreshed and hydrated is an integral part of achieving peak performance and we are delighted to be working with home grown Irish brands that are experts in hydration and performance.”
“We are looking forward to continuing to develop our long-standing relationship with Britvic and I have no doubt our clubs and supporters will continue to support our partners Ballygowan and Energise Sport.”
“Dublin GAA is a perfect partner for both Ballygowan and Energise Sport,” added Leonie Doyle, Marketing Director with Britvic Ireland.
“The passion, pride and ambition that drives Dublin GAA towards their remarkable achievements is an inspiration to us all. Collaborating with Dublin GAA gives us a great platform to promote the benefits of hydration for everyone.”
Last year’s promotion included striking bus imagery around the capital as well as activation on the ground at matches through the Allianz League and All Ireland Championship campaigns.
Dublin GAA have easily the most valuable and well structured commercial programme of any inter-county team. As well as the primary partnership with AIG, they have category sponsorships in place with Subaru, Jack and Jones, The Gibson Hotel, Aer Lingus, ROS Nutrition, Linwoods, Lifestyle Sports, the Gourmet Food Parlour, Skins and O’Neills.
