Electric Ireland’s ‘Champo Haircut’

You have to love the smartness of Electric Ireland’s activation around this weekend’s All Ireland Minor Hurling Final.

The award-winning ad ‘calling Bagsy for the lift, looking for the shift’ and with the cellophane wrapped meal has been running on TV and radio in recent weeks and at Croke Park on Sunday the brand will pay homage to the major significance of GAA players’ pre-game ritual, ‘The Championship Haircut’.

They will be offering complimentary haircuts ahead of the Electric Ireland Minor Hurling Final this weekend with four expert barbers, blades at the ready, all set to give haircuts to Minors, their friends, families, and fans in Croke Park on Sunday morning.

Fans can choose from a selection of styles from ‘The Hurling Helmet’ to ‘The Minor Fade’ with a dry cut or fringe trim for ladies, just inside the turnstiles on the Cusack Stand Side of Croke Park from 11.30am on Sunday.

A great way to encourage more fans to get to the ground early and provide the atmosphere that the minor final deserves, and also clever in finishing up before rival brand Bord Gais Energy starts to activate its sponsorship of the Senior Final.

There will be plenty of chat on social around #GAAThisisMajor.

Now, all we have to do in the next 48 hours is find a ticket to get inside the ground…
