Energia Join Guinness PRO14 Party

Energia has expanded its connection to Rugby by coming on board as Official Energy Partner of the Guinness PRO14 Final Series.

As part of their activation, Energia will honour the most exciting young player from the Guinness PRO14 this season by way of the ‘Energia Next-Gen Star of the Season’ award.

Formerly the ‘Young Player of the Year’ Award, the most recent recipients include international stars such as Energia brand ambassador Jordan Larmour, Joey Carbery, Sam Davies, Jonny Gray and Stuart Hogg. Voting is already underway with journalists, broadcasters, former players and coaches all having their say.

Energia’s return as a partner to the Guinness PRO14 Final Series underlines their commitment to rugby. Their sponsorship of current champions Leinster Rugby is helping to grow the game from grassroots to the elite level.

The action kicks off on May 4th with the Quarter-Finals taking place one day before the Guinness PRO14 Awards event in Dublin, where the ‘Energia Next-Gen Star of the Season’ will add his name to an illustrious list of former winners.

“We are delighted to be involved once again in the Guinness PRO14 Final Series which has established a reputation for high-energy, entertaining rugby,” said Geoff Codd, Head of Marketing & Retail Development for Energia.

“Our partnership with Leinster Rugby places a real focus on helping to power grassroots rugby and we’re thrilled to help deliver the Energia Next-Gen Star of the Season award which is a perfect fit for us.”

“Energia were terrific Final Series partners in 2017 and it’s great to have them back on board as the biggest games of the season approach,” added Dermot Rigley, Commercial Director for PRO14 Rugby.

“Energia have shown a great commitment to rugby and have plenty of experience in match-day activations and providing genuine engagement with supporters.

“It’s been a terrific season on and off the pitch for us and with an historic final in Glasgow’s Celtic Park on May 25 we know the best is yet to come.”
