Energia has launched the first of a two-part social documentary series on Irish and Leinster Rugby high-flyer and Energia ambassador, Jordan Larmour, ahead of the Return to Rugby in Ireland on Saturday 22nd August when Leinster play Munster at Aviva Stadium.
The Power Behind Jordan Larmour – A Rollercoaster Season, is the first in a new 2-part series by Energia following on from the Jordan Larmour documentary series in 2019.
The first episode dives into the up’s and downs of Larmour’s 19/20 rugby season and shows first-hand how rugby was forced to take an unchartered break due to COVID-19.
When the news of Covid-19 broke and it was confirmed that the Ireland v Italy game was postponed, Larmour said it was a moment he’ll never forget.
“All training had been cancelled; all matches had been cancelled. That was pretty tough to take as we didn’t really know what was going on. They told us to take all our boots and all our gear off our spots because we don’t know when we will be coming back in. We were kind of just in no man’s land just waiting to hear the news of what’s happening next.”
The second part of the new series is being released on Wednesday 19th August ahead of the first professional game of rugby in Ireland on Saturday 22nd August.
The second episode gives insight into how Larmour dealt with the lockdown and kept the mind and body sharp, eager for the return of the game he lives and breathes.
