Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland has renewed its position as the Official Car Partner of the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon for the fifth consecutive year.
Now in its 38th year, the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is considered to be one of the leading marathons on a global scale and showcases Dublin at its very best to an international audience.
This year’s race sold out in record time despite rising in capacity to 20,000 and is considered one of the most successful city Marathons in Europe, behind only London, Berlin and Paris
A team of Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees will assist event organisers by providing a total of 38 vehicles for use during the marathon on Sunday, 28th October.
These will include 12 lead pace cars to guide the runners around the 42-kilometre course, as well as six safety vehicles to ferry any casualties to the Medical Team facility, six stationary timing vehicles and 14 logistics vans.
The Enterprise team is also participating in a voluntary capacity with staff member, David Hudson, entering his 21st year as a member of the Dublin Marathon Committee and set to join the 1,135 stewards that will oversee the event.
“We are extremely proud to be involved with the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon again for 2018 said George O’Connor, Managing Director, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland.
“We have enjoyed a very happy partnership with the Marathon organising team for the past five years. This year, once again, our involvement goes beyond the provision of vehicles and personnel, as a number of our staff and business partners are running in the marathon itself, giving us an even deeper level of involvement in Ireland’s key marathon event.”
“It’s great to have Enterprise Rent-A-Car on board for the fifth year in a row for this event,” added Eugene Coppinger, Assistant Race Director for the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon.
“We really appreciate Enterprise’s partnership and help in the run-up to the event and on the day of the race itself. The Enterprise vehicles and personnel are crucial to ensuring the delivery of a world class event.”
