Sporting Year Ahead 2021
The FAI’s new Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Hill will be one of the keynote speakers at the Sport for Business Sporting Year Ahead event taking place online on the morning of Thursday, January 21st, 2021.
Hill was named as the new boss at the FAI in October. He brings a wealth of football and leadership experience to the role having previously worked as Group Commercial Director with the English Football Association, as Commercial Director of Wembley National Stadium and Commercial Director for Euro ’96.
Jonathan has also worked extensively in the wider sports marketing sector, including with IMG and as CEO for the Laureus World Sports Awards, with proven success in working efficiently in complex multi-stakeholder and business partner environments.
We are very much looking forward to chatting with him about the short and longer-term future for the FAI.
It has also been confirmed that we will be joined by our friends at Teneo to look back on their annual research about the sentiment the Irish public have towards sport and what they are looking forward to most over the next twelve months.
Peter Sherrard, CEO of the Olympic Federation of Ireland will join us as well to look ahead to the logistics of restaging the Olympic Games in Tokyo and ensuring that Irish athletes will travel safely and with the best change of performing at their peak.
We will be joined by other sporting and business leaders to look ahead to what the year will hold, and we will publish our event guide to all the major events being hosted that will be of interest to the Sport for Business community.
