The Sporting Year Ahead in 2019

January 18, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Our first major networking event of the New Year takes place on the morning of Friday 18th January when we host The Sporting Year Ahead at the Iveagh Garden Hotel.

We have built a great line up of speakers who will guide us through the trends, the moments, the biggest events and the major partnerships of the New Year.

These include Malcolm Booth, Sales and Marketing Director for the R&A who will guide us through the hosting of the Open Championship on the island of Ireland for the first time in over 60 years, and Padraig Power of the IRFU who will talk to us about the special year ahead of us in Irish rugby.

Professor Cathy Craig will give us an insight into the latest developments in sports technology while there will be a deep dive into research of what Irish people value in sport from Kelli O’Keeffe and the team at Teneo.

Diarmaid Murphy from the GAA, Warren Deutrom from Cricket Ireland, Mark Russell from the FAI and Derek McGrath from The Curragh will also provide us with knowledge bursts on key events so that you are as well informed as you could possibly be around what’s to come in 2019.

It will be an opportunity to meet your peers in the Sport for Business community and to make the connections that could transform your year in work and in sport.

The Sporting Year Ahead is always a popular event and has sold out well in advance for the last three years, just as did our recent Women in Sport Conference.

Here is the full line up of who we have speaking:
