Mick McCarthy will be on hand at the Aviva Stadium on Thursday to reveal what the FAI are describing as a new commercial partnership with a global brand.
They will join a strong roster of eighteen brands currently sponsoring within Irish football including Three, Aviva, SSE Airtricity, Carlsberg, New Balance, Ford and Spar.
There is scope for a name in one of the key sponsorship sectors with no airline partner in place since CityJet’s partnership around Euro 2016 and no banking partner since Bank of Ireland stepped away from its partnership on the school’s side.
The Qualification for the Euro 2020 Championships, when Ireland will host four games next summer gets underway later this month and presents a good sales window for the FAI to pitch itself as a strong competitor for sponsorship investment.
Ireland will also stage the Finals of the Euro U17 Championships this May with the draw for where the 16 qualifying nations will play taking place next month.
The FAI, Three, Aviva and SSE Airtricity are active members of the Sport for Business Community. Contact us today to see what we can do to tell your story within our influential group of members.
