The world of Obstacle Racing has taken off in recent years and Tough Mudder is recognised as one of the biggest of them all on a global basis.
12 kilometres and 20 obstacles combining mud, ice and sharp electric shocks sounds like an acquired taste but without a World Cup to engage, and with tickets likely hard to come by for the big GAA games in Monaghan and Omagh it does provide an alternative.
Google, Glanbia and Dalata are among the companies sending teams to Lough Carew in County Meath for this year’s event taking place on Saturday and Sunday, while Lucozade Sport, Continental Tyres and the National Dairy Council are among the brands backing the event with sponsorship.
In total, the event is expected to attract up to 5,000 competitors and if you would like to be among them Sport for Business has two entries to give away to one of our members.
