One of the most familiar faces in the sports PR scene is to leave the world of sports marketing and take up a new career as a secondary school teacher.
Sinead Finnegan has been on both sides of the lens as a PR Manager with Teneo PSG and as a member of the All Ireland winning Dublin Ladies Football side.
She was also the emotional star of last year’s Blues Sisters documentary on RTÉ and a long time friend of Sport for Business.
She will be in Carlow on Sunday for the Leinster Football Final with the Ladies Footballers but after that she will be relaxing in the sun rather than rushing back to send out one final picture caption.
Finnegan was one of the first wave of players to join the Sport for Business AIG Game Changer Network where we brought a group of sporting players including Lyndsay Peat and Rebecca Barry together with business leaders like Cliona O’Leary and Louise Kidd in a mentoring programme that will be open for its second wave later in the summer.
It has been a pleasure working with her over the past five years and we wish her the very best of luck in her new role guiding the young future stars of sport and business.
