The European Tour and the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open have this morning formally launch ed the next phase of the Inside the Ropes Golf Business Network.
Sport for Business members have the first opportunity now to register for the network which will bring golf alive in 2020 like never before.
Shane Lowry’s famous Open Championship triumph at Royal Portrush Golf Club; an unforgettable Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Lahinch Golf Club won by Jon Rahm; a second career FedEx Cup win for Rory McIlroy; a newly-amalgamated governing body at Golf Ireland; and the announcement that Adare Manor will host the 2026 Ryder Cup have made it an unforgettable season of golfing success.
There could hardly be a better time then for the Tour, which recently underwent a rebrand of its look and feel, to bring back Inside the Ropes.
The network was launched in 2018 with the aim of connecting Irish business with global golf.
That year the initiative delivered a series of unique events and experiences designed to give an insight to global golf and its protagonists.
Sport for Business was involved as host for a memorable private network evening in Dublin with Paul McGinley and AP McCoy.
There were golf days at Lahinch, the K Club and Ballyliffin, an opportunity for members to take part in a unique Golf Sixes event and having Paul McGinley as the keynote speaker at the US Embassy Economic Forum at the Ambassador’s Residence in the Phoenix Park.
If you are a golfer, a golf fan, a supporter of the biggest sports events in Ireland, or interested in sport sponsorship, we would invite you this morning to register your interest in the Inside the Ropes network, via the form on the website – www.insidetheropes.ie.
Participants in the network can look forward to benefits such as free tickets to the 2020 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, invites to unique golfing and networking experiences and first option on hospitality for all European Tour events in Ireland.
“With The 2026 Ryder Cup confirmed for Adare Manor, the eyes of the golfing world will be trained even closer on Ireland over the coming years,” said Global Head of Partnerships at the European Tour, Max Hamilton.
“We have created the Inside the Ropes network to ensure that the business community in Ireland can connect with, and capitalise on, all of the opportunities that golf’s biggest event will bring. We’re really looking forward to a full calendar of exciting events and creating content that engages our players, our ambassadors, our venues and the Irish business community.”
Inside the ropes has been developed by and will be administered by Atomic Sport here in Dublin.
“The continued investment in the Inside the Ropes network illustrates the commitment to innovation at the European Tour and is an exciting development for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, as well as for those in the corporate world who have an interest in golf and the biggest sporting events on this island,” said Atomic Sport Director Patrick Murphy.
“We’re really looking forward to keeping the Irish business community connected to the opportunities and experiences that the Inside the Ropes network will provide.”
