GAA Welcomes New Sponsorship Executive

It has been a busy couple of weeks at Croke Park for the commercial and sponsorship team charged with ensuring that all of the major sponsors of the All Ireland Championship get their full credit.

They have all been active launching their campaigns for the summer, gaining full coverage here on Sport for Business, while AIB has also extended their partnership through to 2023.

There could hardly be a better time then for a new member of the team to roll up their sleeves and get busy at the sharp end of the sponsorship game.

Gavin O’Broin has joined the team having previously worked on the Events team at Croke Park.

Prior to that he worked with the Business Tourism unit at Fáilte Ireland and before that for a spell at advertising agency Rothco where he would have been exposed to the thinking on AIB’s #TheToughest activation as well as the work of Liberty Insurance with the GAA and the Camogie Association.

O’Broin is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology with a Masters Degree in Marketing and is a fluent Irish speaker.

He also continues to line out as a senior hurler with Ballinteer St Johns.

He joins a strong team helping to ensure that AIB, eir, SuperValu, Centra, Littlewoods Ireland and Bord Gais Energy all get the maximum benefit from their association with the GAA through this summer and beyond.

Fáilte Romhat Gavin.
