We were delighted to launch the 2019 edition of the Sport for Business AIG Game Changer Network in Dublin last Friday morning.
The Game Changer Network came to life for the first time in 2018 and brought together pairings of Women from Business with Women in Sport to share, learn and help each other.
This year’s group of sportswomen is drawn from Hockey with Deirdre Duke and Aisling Naughton both taking part ahead of a summer of Olympic ambitions; from Rugby with Jenny Murphy and Michelle Claffey, both members of the Ireland team, from Soccer with Áine Tucker recently graduated as Captain of the Trinity College Women’s Football team and Seana Cooke from Shelbourne FC, from Gaelic Games across a number of county players and from Karate with the presence of Caradh Donovan.
On the Business side of the house, we have Louise Kidd from AIG, Melissa Slevin from the National Lottery, Michelle Tanner, Head of Sport in Trinity, Marie Coady from PwC, Cliona O’Leary from RTÉ Sport, Noreen Doyle from Irish Biltong, Kelli O’Keeffe from Teneo and many more.
During Friday’s launch we heard from Louise Kidd on the successes of last year and what we hope to achieve for those taking part in 2019 and then from Sarah Colgan of Along Came a Spider who updated us on the 20X20 campaign.
Mostly yjough it was about the conversations taking place within the room that will open up a different perspective on how thiose present can best meet the challenges of life in sport and life in busioness in 2019.
This week we will meet to put together the first pairings and will report regularly over the coming months on how everyone is progressing.
We have held back a small number of places to join this year’s programme and if you would like to take part, please email us today quoting Game Changer to see if it might work for you.
