We have tried as best we could to keep you informed throughout the past two weeks of a national emergency and a sporting shutdown.
It has never been more important to provide support for those who are getting us through this from those on the front line of the medical response, to the politicians steering the ship, to the supermarkets and pharmacies and all those who serve us, to An Garda Siochána, An Post, RTÉ, other media and so many more who have excelled in ways that may never be fully known except by those to whom they made such a difference.
We will continue to do our small part and to keep our community of sporting and business professionals tethered together. we will get through this but there will be much harder days ahead.
This weekend there will be empty sidelines and blank screens once again. We need though to keep active and keep ourselves sane so here are two things which we think might help to get us all through the weekend.
First up is a workout with Olympic hopeful and all-round legend Kellie Harrington.
It’s 30 minutes split up into bite-size chunks and will definitely have you feeling better for having done it.

Secondly, once you’ve done that bit of good here’s one that will be good for your soul.
Sean Drummond was a successful footballer with Cuala GAA club until a terrible accident in 2019 left him fighting for his life in a London hospital.
His recovery has been slow but positive steps have been made and helped in no small part by a group of his friends who have been flying over every weekend to spend time with Drummo and give some relief to his parents.
They have a lively Instagram page where they do fundraising challenges and the latest this week has been a bit of a blast with €20,000 raised already from those who have taken on this challenge.
We asked Kellie Harrington and Ellen Keane, as well as Nicky Brennan who plays with Picture This to do it after we did and all three obliged. It’s for a great cause and will give you a laugh.
All the details are on the @Support4Drummo Instagram page. Simply record your effort like the muppets below, use the hashtag #Support4Drummo, make a donation of €5 at the campaign linked in page and if you want tag a friend or two to join the fun. Click on the story on his page to see the latest.
We will be back with four pieces of fresh content later today to bring us into the weekend and back with our Daily Digest on Monday.
Stay safe, stay apart, stay positive.
