The IrishRugby.ie website is in line for a refresh prior to the 2019 Six Nations Rugby Championship.
Welsh-based digital agency Sotic has signed a new agreement with the Irish Rugby Football Union that will see work begin shortly on a brand new digital platform.
Sotic has been partnering the IRFU on digital since 2007. Other clients include the Welsh Rugby Union, Ladies European Tour Golf, World Sailing and the Tour of Britain Cycling.
“We’re delighted to continue our long relationship with Irish Rugby,” said Sotic’s Lindsey Irwin.
“We are looking forward to completely refreshing their digital platform ahead of the 2019 Championship and to developing and delivering a new online home for Irish Rugby that meets their objectives around strengthening their digital proposition across the game.”
“For over ten years Sotic have been working with us to deliver a compelling digital offering for Irish Rugby fans around the world,” said Barry Cunningham, Digital Marketing Manager for Irish Rugby.
“Technology has changed so much in that time but the Sotic team have always delivered for us. I’m really excited about the move to the new platform and I know that it will allow us to tell the story of Irish Rugby from grassroots to Six Nations and beyond in a dynamic new way that will give our stakeholders and supporters the content they need, when and where they want it.”
“The Sotic team are an integral part of our digital planning and the passion they bring is top class. In particular I’d like to pay tribute to the late John Ludlam who inspired so much of our content and direction behind the scenes.”
