Job Title:  

Media and Administration Assistant

This role will include social media and website management, game reports and the writing and distribution of press releases.  It will also involve administration support around Basketball Ireland competitions.

Location: Dublin with occasional travel

Reports to: Media and Communications Manager


  • Social media management

  • Administartion of competitions
Essential Criteria:

  • A third level qualification
  • At least two years work experience in an administrative or media role
  • Competence on social media platforms
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • A team player and flexibility in working hours.  Please note there will be weekend work involved during the playing season
  • A full clean driving license and own transport
  • The successful candidate will need to be available throughout the FIBA Under 18 European Women’s Championships in Dublin between August 4th and 13th, 2017

Desirable Criteria:

  • A knowledge of basketball is desired but not essential.
