The Leinster Rugby Schools Cup is a tournament that gathers together business leaders from across the country to support their own roots and provides some of the best networking opportunities you could hope for.
This year’s event carries dual sponsorship for the first time with Bank of Ireland folding it into its overall sponsorship of the Leinster portfolio and doing so in association with Beauchamps Solicitors who came on board for the first time last year as part of a three year deal.
Beauchamps used it effectively last year with entertaining at Donnybrook and the RDS Arena on Finals day and also secured branding opportunities at both venues.
The renegotiation of a long term partnership with Bank of Ireland included a stepping up of involvement within under age and province wide rugby as well as the main team and this has led to the shared arrangement which will continue this year and next.
The Bank of Ireland arrangement did allow for the draw to be made this week in the august surroundings of the House of Lords hall in Bank of Ireland on College Green. It was ‘broadcast’ live on the Leinster Rugby twitter stream.
Most of the matches will take place on the new 4G All Weather pitch at Donnybrook meaning less fixture congestion during the traditionally wet and muddy month of February.
The final will take place at the RDS Arena on St Patrick’s Day. The Leinster Schools Cup is televised by Setanta Sports.
