If you are in the Marker Hotel already for this morning’s first Sport for Business event of the year we hope you are enjoying yourselves.
If you have not been able to make it we hope you will tune in via social media using the hashtag
The morning kicks off with our friends at Teneo PSG giving us an insight into the trends that will impact on sponsorship and consumer engagement with sport and physical activity in 2018. We have seen an advance copy of their presentation and there are some gems in there.
We will then be joined on stage by Pat Keogh of Leopardstown to talk about the brand new Dublin Racing Festival; Sue Ronan of the FAI to talk full stadia at Tallaght in April and Diarmaid Murphy to guide us through the new summer look to the GAA All Ireland Championships.
We won’t be forgetting the other big sporting events of the year such as Ireland’s test cricket debut, the continued surge of Women’s sport, the Para-Swimming European Championships at the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus and more.
The final element of the morning is one that we are really excited about. Paraic Duffy has been at the helm of the GAA since 2008 and will step down in the spring. We will be chatting about the past, present and future of the Association in a keynote interview which will hopefully be one to remember.
We will have a review of the morning in Friday’s Sport for Business Daily Digest.
Among the 100 plus members and guests who will be joining us are 2 Into 3, AIB, AIG, Along Came a Spider, Aperture Partners, Atomic Sport, Because XM, Bord Gais Energy, BSI Entertainment, Canterbury, Communicorp, Carton House, Corporate.ie, Croke Park, Cullen Communications, Dublin City Council, Eirgrid, Everyday Hero, FAI, GAA< Galvin Sports management, Galway races, Horse Racing Ireland, IABA, Impact, The Irish Sponsorship Summit, Irish Wheelchair Sport, JGA Sports, Key Capital Private, Ladies Gaelic Football, Leopardstown, Line Up SME, Littlewoods Ireland, LK Shields, Paralympics Ireland, Piers White Consulting, Pundit Arena, PwC, Red Bull, Special Olympics, Sport for Business, Sport Ireland, St Joseph’s Boys, Teneo PSG, Tetrarch Hospitality, The Reputation Agency, TVM, Ulster Bank, Velocidi, William Fry and Wilson Hartnell.
