McCormick Signs Up to Line Up

Mark McCormick has been appointed as the new Commercial director at Line Up Sports.

The leading sports marketing, athlete management and strategic sponsorship agency has been well placed to benefit from the success of Irish Rugby this past season with Conor Murray, Tadhg Furlong, Rob Kearney, Sean O’Brien and Joey Carbery among those they represent.

Gary and Paul O’Donovan and Annalise Murphy, Ireland’s silver medal winners at the Rio Olympics are two more that Line Up represents.

McCormick will work closely with CEO David McHugh and the team to expand the company’s offering and to maximise off-field earnings and commercial revenue for clients across a range of sports.

He will also look towards bolstering the sponsorship consultancy arm of the business across brands and rights holders.

He joins Line Up Sports with over 6 years’ experience in finance and private wealth management.

A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast with a BSc Finance, McCormick began his career at multinational pharmaceutical company Pfizer, based at its Dublin headquarters.

Most recently he was responsible for business development and all operational aspects at independent investment and advisory firm Key Capital.

“I’m delighted to join the team at Line Up Sports,” said McCormick.

“To have the opportunity to work alongside David and the team is something I’m hugely excited and passionate about.”

“We have a fantastic list of clients including some of the highest profile names in Irish sports as well as some of the most influential sponsors in the sports landscape, and I look forward to supporting and growing this portfolio.”

“We are delighted to welcome Mark to the team,” added McHugh.

“His experience in high-end finance and private wealth management will be of great value to our clients and will significantly strengthen the company’s advisory offering and client service level off field.”

“Mark’s appointment reinforces Line Up Sports’ commitment to further develop an industry-leading service in the areas of sponsorship, athlete management, events, Influencing and sports marketing consultancy.”
