The Great Dublin Bike Ride takes place in the capital this Sunday morning with plenty of sporting celebrities and good causes lining up their lycra to take on the 60KM and 100 KM routes through the city centre and around North County Dublin.
Ireland’s Fittest Family coach and Newstalk Sports presenter Alan Quinlan is teaming up with fellow former Ireland Rugby International Isaac Boss raising money for the National Maternity Hospital Foundation.
They will be joined by Sonia O’Sullivan who has been out getting the miles into her bike legs this week on the Waterford Greenway.
This is the third year of the Ride, supported by the Dublin City Council Sport and Wellbeing Partnership and Sport Ireland and there has been a strong focus this year on getting to know the city through physical activity.
We wish all those taking part a great morning, with many going on afterwards to Croke Park for the Final of the TG4 All Ireland Ladies Football Championship between Dublin and Mayo.
Check out this review of the ride from 2016 before going out to check those brakes…
