Cricket Ireland MainstreamNiamh O’Shea starts her new position as Marketing Manager with Cricket Ireland today and will be hoping for the rain clouds to clear so that this week’s two match KPC Group sponsored series against Sri Lanka can go ahead in Malahide.

O’Shea joins Cricket Ireland from Largo Foods where she was senior brand manager and was involved in the Hula Hoops sponsorship of Basketball Ireland.

Cricket Ireland has ambitious plans for the coming years as it moves towards full test status and published a comprehensive strategic plan at the end of April which O’Shea will be responsible alongside Commercial Director Dennis Cousins for the delivery of for sponsors and commercial partners.

She will be taking over from David Gash who will still be at Cricket Ireland until the end of this month before moving to Sport Ireland in July just in time for the Olympics.

We’d also like to wish good luck to David Treacy who starts his new role in the Sponsorship department within the GAA having been at WHPR working on their sports team in recent years.
