Sport for Business is coming to Galway for a special breakfast event at Galway Racecourse next Wednesday, May 22nd and places are filling fast.
Most of our events are in Dublin but we are keen to bring people together further afield and we held a successful similar event in Cork earlier this year which got people excited about the possibility of greater collaboration.
It is also an opportunity to celebrate Galway Races 150th Anniversary and the breakfast will take place in the racecourse’s new Wilson Lynch facility giving us a chance to get to see it before the massive crowds of Race Week in July.
We will host two discussions on the world of high-level sport in Galway and the West, and on the need to encourage greater participation and engagement.
Among those who will be joining us are Brian Mahony from Connacht Rugby, Michael Moloney from Galway Racecourse, Kathy Hynes from NUI Galway, Warren Healy, the founder of Clubforce and Joanne Murphy from Tri Talking Sport.
The running order for the day is as follows:
0800: Registration and Networking
0840: The Sporting Landscape in Galway
A panel discussion featuring leaders from across sport in Galway including Galway Racecourse and Connacht Rugby
0920: Looking to the Future
Our second panel will look at future developments in terms of participation and making Galway a sporting hotbed
Speakers including Kathy Hynes from NUI Galway, Joanne Murphy from Tri Talking Sport and Warren Healy the Founder of Clubforce.
1000: Networking and Close.
The ambition is to create a group from across the sporting and business community who can collaborate more effectively in making sure that sport is high on the agenda across the West.
Registration is essential and is free for Sport for Business members.
We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
