Playback on our Legal Perspective Live Webinar

We were joined by a strong Sport for Business Audience this morning for a special Live webinar with the Sports team at William Fry looking at Sport, Sponsorship and COVID-19 from a legal perspective.

Rob Hartnett was joined by Derek Hegarty, Catherine O’Flynn and Paddy Murphy to look at a wide range of issues from the meaning and implications of Force Majeure through to the importance of maintaining good dialogue between parties and even som precedent that exists in a similar space from the African Nations Cup during the Ebola outbreak.

We also looked at some of the employment issues that have arisen and how they can be seen through a universal lens but also one more closely focused on the business of sport.

It was useful and important for all those who joined us to gain insight into what might yet come to pass depending on the length of the disruption to normal sporting service and the economic impact that a longer enforced absence could yet produce.

Special thanks to the William Fry team for giving their time and insight.

The next Live Webinar will be with Noel Martyn from Core Sponsorship looking at Data and Measurement at 11 AM (Dublin time) on Thursday.
