The 2018 Affidea ExpressCare Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon has announced that Irish band, The Blizzards, will headline the Finish Line Concert in Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Sunday August 12th.
In addition to the headliner concert, live bands of every genre will play along the race course, providing high energy motivation and entertainment for runners as they run through the streets of Dublin on their way to the finish line.
“The Affidea ExpressCare Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin has something for everyone with a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Family Fun Run taking place during the course of the weekend. We invite runners, music lovers and Dublin fun-seekers to come enjoy what is sure to be a brilliant weekend.” said Stacey Campbell, Vice President of Global Events for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.

The musically themed Affidea ExpressCare Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 12, while the 10K will start at 9:00 a.m.
This year’s events will go head to head with two All Ireland Football Semi-Finals for the first time with the matches expected to bring a potential 82,000 to Croke Park on each of Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
This year’s races will culminate at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham for the first time.
