Individual clubs can raise up to €10,000 from selling tickets into the national raffle with prizes supplied by the IRFU as well as its key sponsors.
This year’s prizes included a trip to follow Ireland on next year’s summer tour to Australia supplied by Vodafone; VIP trips to Twickenham and Paris provided by Canterbury and Volkswagen as well as other experiences, flights and vouchers provided by partners including Guinness, Aviva, Energia and Elverys.
The top prize was won by a ticket holder who bought from Loughrea RFC. Connacht clubs were very much to the fore with other winners coming from Shannon, Connemara and NUIG clubs.
The Club Draw has raised a total of €5.7 million since it was first run back in 2011.
“Clubs across the country have again maximised the fundraising power of the IRFU ‘Your Club Your Country’ initiative,” said IRFU Senior Vice President Des Kavanagh.
“With over €5.7 million raised by clubs for clubs through the draw since 2011, the success of the initiative continues to bring value to clubs as they invest in the services that they deliver to their members and wider communities.”
