Communications and Sponsorship Agency, Legacy Consultants has appointed Rachel Solon as Head of Sport.
Solon will bring a wealth of strategic sponsorship expertise and a passion for sports marketing to Legacy’s expanding client portfolio which includes leading brands such as Littlewoods Ireland, Laya Healthcare, Volkswagen, Carling and Glenisk.
Beginning her career in rights holder communications for Irish Sailing, Solon went on to join Wilson Hartnell’s Sports Sponsorship and Marketing team in 2014. During her time there, she was responsible for creating and delivering campaigns for clients including adidas, Electric Ireland, Etihad Airways, Guinness, Liberty Insurance, the Olympic Council of Ireland and SuperValu.
Most notably, she had been the lead on AIB’s internationally acclaimed GAA campaign #TheToughest for the past four seasons.
Her ability to combine business strategy, compelling insights, innovative tactics and rich storytelling across traditional, digital, social, influencer, experiential, earned and paid media resulted in numerous national and international accolades for AIB, as well as significantly contributing to the overall rehabilitation of the brand.
Solon joins Legacy’s Senior Leadership Team which includes Managing Director Kevin Moore, CEO James Brogan, Commercial Director Bernard Brogan and Head of Consumer & Lifestyle Claire O’Grady.
