Leinster Rugby’s Innovation Partner, BearingPoint, is inviting fans to join an all-new virtual fan experience in support of the province.
The ‘Lineout4Leinster’ initiative will allow a select number of season ticket holders and official membership holders to log in to their virtual stadium using Microsoft Teams where they can interact with other Leinster Fans and recreate the live match experience.
BearingPoint is also calling on Leinster fans to send in short video messages or pictures in support of the team. These clips will then be compiled into a short video compilation to be played for the Leinster team during their match day warm-up.
“The last few months have been difficult for everyone and there is no doubt that we have some way to go yet,” said Leinster Rugby Commercial and Marketing Director Kevin Quinn.
“However, we have seen some positive signs over the last few weeks none more so in a sporting context than confirmed dates and fixtures for Leinster Rugby matches to look forward to.”
“The pandemic has challenged us to look at how we work and operate, and we have been delighted with how all our sponsors and partners have rallied around and supported us as a club.”
“This initiative from BearingPoint is a brilliant example of that support. It provides an innovative way to help bring some of the matchday magic to supporters’ homes and in return, make sure the players know that our support is there for them when they run out on the pitch in a few weeks time.”
“As the team lines out for their first game in front of an empty stadium, it is so important that we all pull together to show the team the support and momentum that is behind them,” said Eric Conway, Partner and Country Leader of BearingPoint Ireland.
“Thankfully Leinster Rugby will have all the options available to offer the best possible fan experience remotely and digitally. With a variety of planned innovations, the fans can still influence and interact with the players through the big-screen displays.
