Griffith College Dublin will host its first TEDx event on March 31st exploring the concept of fear and with a very strong sports bias.
The event is already sold out but there will be a live stream to allow more people to see the talks given by seven high profile speakers with backgrounds in fitness, psychology, business, entrepreneurship and mental health services.
“Fear plays a major role in everybody’s life, but it’s not a topic that is often spoken about. We are excited about our selection of speakers who will share their personal stories,” said Griffith College student and event co-organiser Jonas Baumgart.
The evening will feature talks from Rob Lipsett, Ireland’s leading personal trainer with a You Tube audience of 250,000; Ellen Keane who became Ireland’s youngest Paralympics Athlete at the Beijing Games in 2008 and won Bronze in swimming at the Rio Games last year.
Mia Christina Doring, Paul Hayes, Oisin Scollard, Karl O’Connor and Paul Devaney will also share their personal experiences in what promises to be an emotional and enlightening event.
