Sport for Business 30 Under 30 – Amy Hacon

Amy Hacon is an Account Manager at Legacy Communications.

Originally from New Zealand, Hacon joined the Legacy team in May 2019 with a diverse range of experience in corporate and marketing communications.

She was working with Porter Novelli in Aukland when she decided to relocate to Dublin in 2018 and spent a year working with Drury Porter Novelli here before switching to Legacy.

She has worked closely with some of Ireland’s leading sponsorship brands including manging the Energia rugby portfolio driving fan engagement and brand awareness.  She was responsible for the recent AIL Virtual Awards held in part in Mario Rosenstock’s back garden.

She has also been involved in Indeed’s sponsorship of Team Ireland for the 2020 Olympics, now set to take place in 2021, and managed Laya Healthcare’s Brand Ambassador partnership with Johnny Sexton

A graduate of the University of Waikato, with a degree in Communications Studie, Public Relations and Management Communications, she worked as an intern as part of her final year studies with the local Football Federation.
