Sport for Business 30 Under 30 Come Together

Sport for Business will this morning host a gathering of our 30 Under identified in 2018 as young leaders of the future in the business of sport.

Among those who will join us for discussions on the ethics of sponsorship and how we are watching sport in 2019 are Naomi Sabherwal, AIG; Aisling Fox, AIG; Eamon Donoghue, Irish Times; Aidan O’Brien, Euro 2020; Ruth Fahy, William Fry; Eoin McGirl, Aer Lingus; Pippa Doyle, Littlewoods Ireland, Paddy Carberry, Diageo; Ross O’Dwyer, Pundit Arena; Declan Healy, Leopardstown Racecourse; Joe Walsh, Rugby Analyst; Amy Lynch, Aviva; Niamh O’Sullivan, Sport Ireland and Gordon Britchfield from eir Sport.

Starting next week we will publish a series of features written by the 30 Under 30 reflecting a youthful perspective on the business of sport in Ireland.

We also begin the search today for the class of 2019. Do you know someone that has risen quickly through a career in sports administration, sponsorship or other areas where sport and business crossover that you believe deserves recognition?

We want to hear from you.

The criteria for submission is that the person should be working within the sports industry, or in a sponsorship or agency capacity that is bringing sport to life, and that they should be born in or after 1989.

We will identify those individuals over the coming weeks and provide a platform for them to share their thoughts on how Sport in Ireland can continue to develop.

We will build a programme of support based on the creation of a network of young leaders that could be of benefit to them throughout their working lives, and to our industry as a whole.

This is not the time to be shy, this is an opportunity to put forward those you have come across that have struck you as having real potential, or indeed for you to put yourself forward.

It’s not about where you are now. It’s all about where you could get to with the right breaks.

The nomination process is simple. Contact us today with a name and a few lines on why you or they could be one of our 30 Under 30 for 2019 and we will be in touch should we require any further information.

Starting next month we will begin to build the list of those whose stars are shining. The later in the year, together with our partners in this project PwC we will host a special gathering of those who have been selected and those that have gone before them.
