We have been unpacking copies of our Spor For Social Good Annual report which will be published tomorrow at our Sport for Social Good event in Dublin.
It tells the story of some of the projects, large and small that we have identified as exemplars of how sport can be used to create a lasting social impact, and how business can help to amplify and expand that.
We will hear tomorrow from the CEO of the Manchester United Foundation on how they have brought the power of their brand into local communities in Manchester and Derry and we will also hear about how Beko, Barcelona and Unicef have come together to tackle childhood obesity around the world.
Closer to home we will hear about the process for selecting a charity with Leinster rugby and MS Ireland, the life-changing power of sport from European Gold Medallist Ellen Keane, as well as projects relating to Cancer Research, Homelessness and building in Africa all through the medium of sport.
We will unveil original research into the real value of cause marketing by The Brand Fans and will explore why brands are often accused of cynicism in terms of Social Good projects.
It promises to be a great morning and the platform for doing it all over again in 2019.
There are still a limited number of places available to join us, which can be booked here.
If you can not make it this year but would like to be a part of next year’s Report and Event contact us here, quoting Sport for Social Good 2019 in the subject line.
Copies of the report will be distributed at the close of the event tomorrow and will be available on request to Sport for Business members.
