SSE Airtricity League Clubs will be able to share highlights footage through social media channels as they are produced following a deal agreed with RTÉ yesterday.
Up until now, they had been restricted until after the goals and highlights were shown on RTÉ’s Soccer Republic on Monday evening.
The breakthrough didn’t come in time to enable Bohemians to share the winning goal from last night’s Dublin Derby with Shamrock Rovers but the club’s already impressive social team will now have another arrow in their armoury.

They will be one of a number of clubs likely to step up the way in which action can be shared immediately and hopefully drive further interest in the League.
Both Shamrock Rovers and Cork City attracted attendances of over 4,000 to their opening home league fixtures last Friday night while Sligo Rovers home gate against St Patrick’s Athletic was higher than any they had drawn to the Showgrounds throughout last season.
