SuperValu Backing Off The Ball All Ireland Roadshow

Details have been announced of the final Off The Ball GAA Roadshow for the summer.

A pre-All Ireland Final special will take place at the St Vincent’s home of Diarmuid Connolly and Tomás Quinn on Wednesday 28th August.

SuperValu teamed up with Off The Ball, to bring the show on the road throughout the summer as part of celebrations to mark the 10 year anniversary of the retailer coming on board as sponsor of the Championships

A host of special guests – including former Dublin manager, Paul Caffrey, former Dublin stars, Mossy Quinn and Eamon Fennell, Dublin legend, Mickey Whelan, and Mayo star and SuperValu GAA ambassador, Andy Moran – will join Off The Ball’s Nathan Murphy to review the 2019 Championship and reveal their predictions on who will lift the coveted Sam Maguire Trophy on September 1st.

“Our partnership with the GAA has been a fantastic fit for SuperValu over the past 10-years, and we have been celebrating our decade-long sponsorship by teaming up with Off The Ball, to bring their show to communities across the country, this summer,” said Ray Kelly, SuperValu Marketing Director.

“Our GAA partnership has allowed us to support the development of the game – from where it all begins at grassroots level, to players who represent their parish and county, at senior level.”

“As we all know, GAA fans are some of the best in the world, so this roadshow is all about giving back to the fans and adding to the excitement of Championship season.”

“The best part of what we do is getting the opportunity to hit the road and broadcast live, in front of people of all ages,” added Ger Gilroy, Managing Director of Off The Ball.

“To be able to do that in celebration of our national sport is even better. SuperValu has been an outstanding contributor to the growth of GAA for many years, so we have been thrilled to partner with such a great community brand, in what has been a series of action-packed events.”

“The 2019 Championship has thrown up some very interesting results, so we will have plenty to look back on, as well as dissecting what we all hope will be a brilliant final.”

In addition to the Off The Ball Roadshow, SuperValu has been working with its GAA ambassadors and the GAA community, to explore what it is that makes GAA so unique.

The importance of ‘Where You’re From’ and the passion it generates through both players and fans, has been explored through SuperValu’s 2019 GAA campaign. The campaign has been taking a look behind the scenes to highlight the real resilience of players, managers and supporters – what really keeps them coming back and on the pitch. Tickets for the SuperValu Off The Ball roadshow in St Vincent’s are available and ticket competitions are running on SuperValu and Off The Ball social channels. Doors for the event will open at 6.30pm.
