Sure is backing up its position as official statistics partner of the GAA by launching an online quiz with prizes of tickets to the All Ireland Finals.
The activation was launched at Croke Park yesterday with Ciaran Kilkenny and Lee Chin representing the brand and chatting to media about some of the hottest subjects in the GAA at the moment.
The importance of analysis and use of statistics to enhance performance has never been at a higher level.
Sure’s own social media feeds at the moment are packed with information from the World Cup where they are running their own ‘Pressure Index’ and there is a great article in today’s Irish Times from Sport for Business 30 Under 30 nominee Eamon Donoghue on how hydration in the heatwave is being managed by inter-county teams.
“As the Provincial Championships draw to a close, players and managers will be turning their attention to Sure’s official GAA statistics to fine tune their own performances and to gain a tactical advantage over the opposition,” said Josh Plimmer, Sure Brand Manager, Unilever UK & Ireland.
“Fans, keen to gain a greater understanding and enjoyment of the sport, have never had more data available to them.”
“Stats have always been a big part of match day and through our new competition we’re giving fans with a keen eye for detail the chance to test their knowledge to win tickets to the biggest match days of them all.”
The competitions will be going live on Sure’s social media platforms in the coming days and running through the next few weeks leading up to the culmination of the Championship season.
